Our

STORY

My name is Dan Bernier. My full time career is a professional children's entertainer. Don't jump to any conclusions just yet. I wasn't always a children's entertainer you know. In fact, I didn't start pursuing my purpose...my passion...my dream career until I was in my early 40's.

I spent most of my life a dreamer, a wanderer, struggling with self confidence, living on the streets. Even when I got off the streets I had absolutely no goals, just dreams.

I can go on with the sad parts of my life but I'd rather tell you about the day when everything all just suddenly clicked for me. It was like being hit by a lightening bolt. Actually, I have no idea what being hit by a lightening bolt feels like, but you get the picture.

It was fear that woke me up. Yup, fear. I was suddenly overcome of the fear of living with regret. I didn't want to be asking myself in years to come, "What if?" or, "If I had only tried".

I had the attitude of NOW OR NEVER!

That attitude led me to discovering the right mindset to accomplish my goals, and one by one I began accomplishing all of them. I began making bigger goals, all the while enjoying the journey to the fullest.

I learned so much not just about me, but about what keeps most people back from becoming successful. It comes down to the mindset. Sounds simple, but it's not. No point in lying. If we don't already have the right minset, it means we have to learn it. And not only learn it, but apply it enough times that it becomes part of who we are. For example; if your lazy, chances are you'll never be successful. If you procrastinate, or don't feel confident, these are just some negative mindsets that can keep someone from becoming successful.

I don't want to over look the fact that what drove me to make changes to my mindset in the first place was fear of regret of never pursuing my passion in life. This means, if you have no passion, you first have to have something to be passionate about. Or...are in the pursuit of finding your purpose in life.

The great news is we can change our mindset if we don't already have the right mindset. I'm living proof of it.

I spent most of my earlier years running away from problems. I left home (got kicked out) when I was 16. I was raised by a father who would mostly mentally abuse me, but at times physically abused me as well. As sad as it is to admit but I never felt safe with him. I rebelled against my step mother because I never understood why I was taken from my mother.  I was filled with anger, rejection, guilt, and no self worth. In my late teens and early 20's I spent time with gangs, in jail, and spent a lot of time alone.

I had some great times as well. I've made some very special memories I hold dear. But ever since I came to realize that we DON'T have all the time in the world, and that I needed to act in the NOW, I have been not only living my dream, but have been on a road of self discovery and awareness.

I want to share all that I am learning and experiencing with all of you.
